What had to exist
The piece hangs on one readable action. A figure walks screen right across a sunlit stone terrace. A foreground column fills the frame. The same walk continues inside a dark enclosed corridor.
The action had to stay unbroken through the change in setting while wardrobe and light changed across the column. The column supplied the transition inside the source itself, which is the whole trick.
The excerpt runs 240 frames, an even ten seconds at 24 frames per second. It is silent. The original composition is 4:3.
The transition decision
The column does the work of the cut. Building a transition in post would have been easy, and it would have changed the account of how the shot was made. The published piece keeps the wipe already present in the source.
Nothing was added, replaced, smoothed, or regenerated in post. That boundary matters because the record describes a continuous source passage. Anyone can inspect the transition inside the sequence and verify it against that passage.
The composition decision
The delivery keeps the original 4:3 composition, and every output is downscaled only. No delivery enlarges a source pixel.
That preserves the frame the movement was made in. Terrace, foreground column, and corridor stay in the exact relationship the source composition carried.
The publishing check
The corridor markings got their own check before publishing: inspected at three times delivery size. Nothing resolved into a readable word, so the frames stayed in the excerpt unchanged.
That check is part of the record because it drove the decision to publish the frames as they were.
